Day One concentrates on the points where the upstream midstream interface connects, particularly where upstream measurement meets midstream systems and external counterparties. The programme covers post-M&A standardisation, three-stream allocation and commingling, production accounting, field-to-finance data lineage, custody transfer, mature and EOR assets, non-operated interests, royalties, acquisition and divestiture due diligence, risk-based assurance, and targeted automation.

The day closes by asking what should be fixed at source, reconciled downstream, automated, subjected to stronger assurance — or deliberately left alone.
